"Art for the Kaipara" Auction 2006

Kaipara Forest and Bird would like to thank all the artists who participated in the second "Art for the Kaipara" auction in July 2006 and our sponsors BeesOnline and Matua Valley Wines. Our thanks also to Greg Flutey Specialty Breads who donated delicious specialty breads for us to use at the Art Auction evening. Greg Flutely Specialty Breads has a shop in Huapai, and we recommend you try their wonderful range of breads and pastries. It was a successful evening with a wide range of works sold. It resulted in a valuable contribution to the Branch's legal fund and for the Atuanui Restoration Project. The exhibition and art auction was held at the BeesOnline Cafe and Honey Centre, at 791 State Highway 16, Waimauku on 28-30th July. We had nearly 100 artworks in the auction including paintings, ceramics, glass, sculptures, photographs, and mixed media. These included: Prints by Brent Wong and Stanley Palmer. Ceramics by Lynda Harris and Bronwynne Cornish. Glass by Darryl Fagence. Landscapes by Philip Kilmore, Russell Jackson, Sarah McBeath, Dean Buchanan, Garry Currin, Gaylene Earl, Eion Bryant, Derek March, Toni Smith, and Judith Moreton. Bird paintings by Geoff Arnold, Susannah MacDonald, Fleur Schultz, and Shelley Slater. Paintings by Sally Fagence, Filani Macassey, Peter Panyoczki, Terry Prince, Rosemary Parcell, Rachel Bebbington Sheary, and Jayne McKelvie. Photographs by Geoff Moon, Bret de Thier, and Jo Chester. Sculptures by Jeff Thomson, Lauren Kitts, Steve Molloy, Peter Jennings and Barry Lett. Mixed media art from Jasmine Clark, Jude Eldridge, and Maree Wilson.
