Te Rau Puriri Regional Park, August '07 LOGO

Thirty people had an interesting day exploring the new regional park at Waipiro Bay and its environs on Sunday 24 August.  One of the highlights of the day was the Kingfishers which were in big nunbers along the coast.  There was lots of evidence of their nesting attempts in clay banks along the shoreline and beside the tracks.
